Rachel joined Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood in 2026 as Head of the Jewellery Department, bringing with her over twelve years’ experience in jewellery valuation, gemmology and auction practice.

Having spent nine years working within the auction industry before establishing an independent valuation practice, Rachel has extensive experience in the appraisal, cataloguing and identification of jewellery, gemstones and objets de vertu. During three years in independent practice, she provided specialist valuation services for private clients, estates, solicitors and high net-worth collectors, undertaking insurance and probate valuations, collection reviews and specialist reporting.

Rachel is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (FGA), a Member of the Institute of Registered Valuers (MIRV), a Practising Associate Member of The Academy of Experts (AMAE) and a member of the Society of Jewellery Historians. She also serves on the Committee of the Institute of Registered Valuers.

She has a particular interest in Georgian and early jewellery, gemstones and historic craftsmanship and is committed to promoting professional standards and education within the jewellery industry.
