The Lenkiewicz Foundation Collection and Other Selected Works

Since the death of Robert Lenkiewicz (1941-2002) in 2002, Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood has been the leading auction house for the sale of pictures by Lenkiewicz. A studio sale for the Executors of the Lenkiewicz Estate held in London in 2003 was followed by major sales at the Westpoint Exhibition Centre in Exeter in and 2008.
Many paintings made five figure sums and two outstanding works, The Bishop Startled and The Temptation of St Anthony for £100,000 and £170,000 respectively.
So, fast-forward to 2018 and at an evening sale on Tuesday, 11th September 2018, in the Exeter rooms, we will conduct the sale of the remaining collection of pictures belonging to The Lenkiewicz Foundation, along with other The sale will therefore consist of just 77 lots with estimates ranging from £100 to £20,000.
The Lenkiewicz Foundation in 'virtual' form and will continue to support relevant education, research and study. The Foundation will also continue to support the reputation of Robert Lenkiewicz at exhibitions, lectures and in published material.
The Foundation's Collection of Lenkiewicz works offered here has a long history of public showings and exhibitions and many of the pictures feature at the forefront of books about the artist. Now, in what Francis Mallett, the Chair of The Lenkiewicz Foundation describes as 'this final sale', there is a last chance to see this fascinating collection hung together and an opportunity to attend the last major Lenkiewicz Sale.
