Biography of the French artist Victor Bachereau Reverchon (1842-1885)

Victor Bachereau Reverchon (1842-1885) was born in Les Batignolles, Paris.

Reverchon studied under G Deville and painted and exhibited a major series of still life and genre paintings between 1863 and 1885.

His scene from the 1870 war 'Wounded Prussian soldiers treated in the Hall of Mirrors, Versailles' was shown at the Berlin Exhibition in 1871.

Reverchon died in 1885.
