Biography of artist Frank Moss Bennett (1874-1933)
Frank Moss Bennett (1874-1933) was born in Liverpool in 1874.
Bennett studied at St John's Wood Art School, The Slade and The Royal Academy Schools, where he won a gold medal and a travelling scholarship.
Bennett is best known for his 'out of period' Elizabethan costume subjects, most of which were reproduced and reached a very wide public audience. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1898-1928.
He died in 1933.
