Second White Glove Sale of Silver at Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood

Published 19th November 2025

Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood were delighted with the results from the 18th of November Silver auction which produced a “white glove” sale, proving the market is still strong with collectors and traders alike. Strong results came from Indian & Colonial silver, antique boxes, provincial silver and novelty lots.  We are now taking consignments for the next sale on February 3rd, please get in touch for free advice and valuations.

Lot 74 | A 20th Century matched part-canteen of Belgian silver flatware and cutlery, hammer price £3,800

The highest lot was a 20th Century canteen of Belgian silver flatware and cutlery, which came in at £3,800 (hammer price). Lot 217, a George V silver and enamel mounted wooden photograph frame, despite the estimate being £100-150, sold for £1,900 (hammer price). And a Victorian matched four-piece Irish silver tea & coffee set came in at £2,600.

The Silver auction, part of our quarterly Silver, Watches & Jewellery auction, marks the second white glove sale this week for Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood, after our Single Owner Collection of Studio Pottery on 17th November also sold in its entirety (see separate press release for details).
