Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood in Exeter, Devon, are currently looking for an experienced jewellery specialist to join our dynamic team and run the busy jewellery department.
While it is sad to see current Head of Department Tracey Scott move on, we are hugely grateful for all the hard work she has put in to growing the department and wish her luck for the future.
Prospective applicants should have worked in an auction house for a number of years and ideally have an FGA/DGA qualification. Excellent communication and customer service is something we pride ourselves on at Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood, so these are a must.
Responsibilities of the role include sourcing new business, securing consignments, valuations, cataloguing, condition reports, valuation days and running the successful jewellery department. A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with experience.
Our Jewellery Department holds quarterly auctions in conjunction with the Silver Department, as well as providing valuations and support for associated auctions, such as private collections or specialist sales.
