Tim has forty years of experience in the stamp business, having previously managed high street retail stamp centres, along with associated specialist philatelic auctions. He has written opinion pieces for leading stamp magazines, together with articles and books on various aspects of collecting.

With a background in literature and language, Tim is interested in narrative, particularly the stories and the history around stamps, and the collections they form.

Outside of the world of philately, Tim is interested in film, travel, and walking. He enjoys undertaking historic pilgrimages and has completed the Camino de Santiago on three occasions.
