The Specialist Maritime sale, which will be held in Exeter on 15th June 2011, once again contains a range of items for all collectors and enthusiasts, as well as one or two interesting historical pieces to attract attention from a wider audience.

Included within the sale is an interesting Nelson commemorative bracelet £500-£700, also an early 19th century glass decanter engraved shortly after the battle of Trafalgar in commemoration £200-£300. A White star Line leather purser's bag as well as White Star Line silver plated serving tray, both give an indication of the Golden age of the Ocean Liners. Whilst a set of dining chairs from the Royal Yacht Osborne II £3,000-£4,000, show the splendour of 19th century yachts.

Of the collection of scrimshaw, instruments and pictures included in the sale one of the highlights is the splendid view of Port Mahon, Minorca circa 1800 by Anton Schranz, £8,000-£12,000. The panoramic view shows the broad sweep of the harbour with 'Bloody Island' and the Old Naval Hospital, both still recognisable today.
