William Lionel Wyllie[1851-1931] - SS Austral in a bay - signed and inscribed watercolour 32 x 23.5cm *Note - Built by John Elder & Co Govan in 1882 for the Orient Steam Navigation Company, SS Austral foundered while loading coal in Neutral Bay in 1882 with the loss of five lives. She was subsequently successfully re floated and continued to make the round trip from England to Australia for the next 22 years, eventually being broken up at Genoa in May 1903.

William Lionel Wyllie[1851-1931] - SS Austral in a bay - signed and inscribed watercolour 32 x 23.5cm *Note - Built by John Elder & Co Govan in 1882 for the Orient Steam Navigation Company, SS Austral foundered while loading coal in Neutral Bay in 1882 with the loss of five lives.
