Sale Notes

Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood's sale of Antiques and Collectables on the 15th October 2013 contains a wide selection of interesting material fresh to the market.

Amongst a good selection of glass is a 20th century blue-flashed and cut glass pedestal comport (HO77/3), which compliments two sets of wine glasses in a similar style. Other glassware includes a decorative collection of Mdina and other paperweights. Chinese porcelain also features, including two Canton plates in traditional colours (HO77/22).

Almost every one of these regular antiques sales includes a lot of Royal Commemorative wares and this is no exception: Lot 38 includes everything from a George V coronation mug to a Charles and Diana wedding souvenir.

An attractive Rococo-style Boulle clock of small size under a glass dome is a notable item (HO/113).

Furniture highlights include two George III mahogany chests of drawers of small size, a Victorian rosewood chiffonier and three George III tray-top bedside cupboards all of good quality and likely to bought very reasonably in the current market.
