A set of four old Sheffield plate chambersticks, stamped marks for M Boulton & Co of circular outline with gadrooned and foliate decorated borders, scroll handles, snuffers and wick trimmers.

Sale FS52; Lot: 1714: A mahogany and gilt bronze mounted and glazed vitrine in Louis XVI style, late 19th / early 20th century, the moulded cornice above a frieze with central projecting relief cast bronze figural panel portraying amorini by a brazier, flanked by recessed panels of scrolling foliage to Bacchic masks at the ends; above twin doors with bevelled glass panes, above further gilt bronze mounts cast as opposing sphines with rising scrolling foliate tails, the apron with foliate cast mount, with conforming glazed sides, on toupie feet with further foliate cast mounts; 190cm high, 129cm wide, 40cm deep.

Sale FS41; Lot: 0905: A London style mahogany longcase clock having an eight-day duration movement with a half-dead beat escapement and striking the hours on a gong, the twelve-inch brass break-arch dial having a raised silvered chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals and Arabic five-minute outer numerals, the matted centre having an inset silvered subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, with the arch having a silvered 'strike/silent' dial, with oriental style cast-brass corner spandrels to the four corners and dial, the mahogany case having a shaped stepped moulding to the trunk door, fluted quarter columns to the trunk with brass stops and cast-brass capitals, with the hood having matching full pillars and surmounted by a pagoda top with carved wood flame finials, the base having a shaped raised panel, a double plinth and standing on bracket feet, height 246cms.
