A George III mahogany, rosewood crossbanded and inlaid pembroke/supper table bordered with sycamore lines, the top centred by a geometric stellar medallion, fitted with a drawer to one end with compartment below enclosed by metal grille panel sides and a pair of concave metal grille panel doors to one end, on square chamfered legs, terminating in leather castors, the top 66cm (2ft 2in) x 101cm (3ft 3 3/4in) extended.

Lot Description

A George III mahogany, rosewood crossbanded and inlaid pembroke/supper table bordered with sycamore lines, the top centred by a geometric stellar medallion, fitted with a drawer to one end with compartment below enclosed by metal grille panel sides and a pair of concave metal grille panel doors to one end, on square chamfered legs, terminating in leather castors, the top 66cm (2ft 2in) x 101cm (3ft 3 3/4in) extended.

The gores decorated with constellation figures, named in Latin and English, mounted on mahogany tripod stands, the legs united by an undertier incorporating a compass, 2ft (61cm) high.
