The Waltham Watch Co, a boxed 'chronometer' the eight-day duration movement having a lever escapement with a split-bimetallic balance, Brequet overcoil hairspring and keyless winding, with engine-turned decoration to the nickel-plated backplate stamped Waltham Watch Co 8 Days, 15 Jewels Adjusted, 22192011 and set within a brass gimbal, the round matt-silvered dial having black Roman numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial, a 'up-and-down' state of wind dial and signed Waltham, with blued steel spade hands, having a three-tier brass-bound mahogany box, the inside lid having pasted within a Waltham rating sheet from March 1924 stating Performance of Waltham 8 Day Lever Escapement Chronometer at Room Temperature and giving details of the performance over 26 days with a repeat of the clock number 22192011, dimensions 13cm x 13cm x 13cms.
