Johnson, Strand, London, the mahogany dome-topped case having a full opening glazed door, canted corners, raised moulding to the base and standing on bracket feet, height 183cm * Biography A number of makers by the name of William Johnson are recorded as working in London, with the most likely maker of this regulator being the William recorded as having premises in the Strand from circa 1825 until 1840.
