A pair of Coalport jars and covers of tapering form set on four lion paw feet, the handles with lion mask terminals, both decorated with gilt edged landscape panels, one by Percy Simpson, on gilt embellished royal blue grounds, green backstamps and pattern No V 6969/E, one captioned 'Mt. Venus', circa 1915-20, 17cm high, [knops and one handle restored].

Lot Description

A pair of Coalport jars and covers of tapering form set on four lion paw feet, the handles with lion mask terminals, both decorated with gilt edged landscape panels, one by Percy Simpson, on gilt embellished royal blue grounds, green backstamps and pattern No V 6969/E, one captioned 'Mt. Venus', circa 1915-20, 17cm high, [knops and one handle restored].

Sale FS41; Lot: 0895: A Regency mahogany bracket clock the eight-day duration, double-fusee movement of unusual shape having a verge escapement and a fully engraved backplate with the centre cartouche engraved RC, the seven-inch round painted convex dial having black Roman numerals and blued steel heart shaped hands, the mahogany case having a pediment top surmounted by a brass pineapple finial, with brass trim to the inset panels at each corner, with brass stringing to the lower base, brass fish-scale sound frets to the sides, cornucopia handles above the frets and standing on brass ball feet, height 50cms.
