Sale FS40; Lot: 0842: An extensive French carved walnut ten piece bedroom suite, decorated with swags of foliage and tied ribbons, comprising - a pair of bow-fronted bedside cupboards with black variegated marble tops, each fitted with a drawer and enclosed by a door below, 43cm (1ft 5in) across, a kidney-shaped dressing table with oval swing frame mirror and single frieze drawer, 98cm (3ft 2 1/2in) wide, a bergere occasional chair with triple cane panel back and serpentine seat, an oval bevelled mirror with spiral ribbon surround and ribbon tied floral foliate cresting, 101cm (3ft 3 3/4in) x 13cm (4ft 5in), a pair of small oval mirrors, 28cm (11in) x 41cm (16in), a side cabinet of D-shaped breakfront outline with a black and grey variegated marble top fitted with four central drawers flanked by a pair of enclosed cupboards, 142cm (4ft 8in) wide, a king size bed with shaped and rounded foot board and high panelled headboard, 183cm (6ft) wide and an armoire of D-shaped outline, with central oval mirror door, 175cm (5ft 9in) wide, each piece raised on turned, fluted and carved tapered legs.
