A French carved giltwood cartouche-shaped three fold screen, with glazed panels above in moulded acanthus scroll and flowerhead surrounds and with upholstered floral foliate panels below, on scroll feet, 169.5cm (5ft 6 3/4in) x 147cm (4ft 10in) overall.

Sale FS21; Lot: 0576: Charlotte Rhead, a tube-lined rectangular tile decorated with Elaine, the lily maid of Astolat guarding the shield of Lancelot, signed with initials 'L R.', 30 x 15cm, glaze imperfections. The composition is taken from an illustration by George Woolliscroft Rhead for an 1898 publication of Tennyson's Idylls of the King, a copy of which is included in the lot. The volume was illustrated in partnership with Louis Rhead raising the possibility that the tile was tubelined by him rather than Charlotte.

Portland Street, London, stamped number '2', three circular observation windows, the front window with safety chain, lashing eyes above, rear air inlet, outlet valve to the rear of the left side window, thumb screw lock to the rim, the corselet with centre mounted outlet valve, flanked by copper bar weight hangers, the brails with reinforcing ridges and wing nuts stamped as per title, 47cm high. *Note - CE Heinke were at this address from 1860 until 1904.
