Sale FS37; Lot: 0788: A Coalport porcelain 'Japan' pattern part dessert service painted and gilded with rockwork, trees, flowering shrubs and lattice panels in underglaze blue with iron-red and green enamels, circa 1805-10, comprising eighteen plates, four lobed square dishes, four scallop shaped dishes, four shaped oval dishes, an oval pedestal dish, a sauce tureen, two covers and two stands, thirty six pieces [one stand damaged, minor wear to gilt]. * Cf. Sale FS41; Lot: 0912: J Shaco, Chorley a mahogany five-dial wheel barometer the ten-inch round silvered dial with typical barometer markings and having a blued-steel hand and brass pointer operated via the bone knob set below and a convex Georgian-style brass bezel, with a silvered hygrometer to the top, a thermometer set within the trunk above a convex 'Butler's' mirror and a silvered round-dialled level to the base engraved with the maker's name J Shaco, Chorley, the mahogany case having boxwood edge lining and a swan-neck pediment with brass finial, height 117cms.

Sale FS40; Lot: 0926: An 18th century walnut oyster veneered crossbanded and inlaid chest on later stand, the upper part with a sycamore bordered top decorated with geometric lines fitted with two long drawers, the stand with a shaped apron on spirally turned legs, united by flattened undulating stretchers terminating in pear-shaped feet, 89cm (2ft 11in) wide.
