A rare set of twelve George II grey painted armchairs, in the Chinese Chippendale taste with lattice backs and angled arm supports, the solid seats with loose cushions (eight only) on square chamfered legs, headed with pierced fret spandrels.

Kingsnympton Park, Devon. Purchased For The House In 1754 From Joshua Lewis Of Exeter For £12 Guineas.
