Lot Description
A rare late 18th /early 19th century cryptograph folding cipher machine with fixed outer silvered dial divided into ninety sections each section with either a number, letter, word or part word, the inner revolving dial with rack and pinion lever wind divided into two scales, one numbered from ten to ninety nine, the inner scale divided into tenths from ten to ninety, with polished steel winding handle to the side, mounted in a red morocco leather case. 19cm diameter.
