A rare set of twelve Japanese hand-coloured woodblock prints of 'The Twelve Divas' mounted as hanging scrolls and depicting Gatten [the moon god], Nitten [the son of god], Rasetsuten [god of demons], Bishamonten [god of wealth], Bonten [god of sacred Indian lore], Emma [god of death], Taishakuten [god of rain and justice], Ishanaten [god of wealth and protection], Futen [god of wind], Katen [god of fire], Suiten [god of waters] and Chiten [god of the earth], 16th/17th century, 109 x 43 cm.
