A George III mahogany breakfront secretaire library bookcase, with pierced fret, the upper part with a pierced fret central swan neck pediment, enclosed by a pair of central astragal glazed panel doors, flanked by an enclosed astragal glazed cupboard to either side, the lower part having a central fall enclosing a fitted interior with small drawers and pigeon holes, the cupboard below enclosed by a pair of doors flanked by four short drawers to either side, on a plinth base, 201cm (6ft 7in) high, 235cm (7ft 8 1/2in) high.

Lot Description

A George III mahogany breakfront secretaire library bookcase, with pierced fret, the upper part with a pierced fret central swan neck pediment, enclosed by a pair of central astragal glazed panel doors, flanked by an enclosed astragal glazed cupboard to either side, the lower part having a central fall enclosing a fitted interior with small drawers and pigeon holes, the cupboard below enclosed by a pair of doors flanked by four short drawers to either side, on a plinth base, 201cm (6ft 7in) high, 235cm (7ft 8 1/2in) high.

He previously worked in various addresses in the West End of London from 1811.
