A 19th Century Colonial Hardwood and Inlaid Secretaire Cabinet (FS28/861) offered in our Two Day Fine Art Sale starting on 6th October 2015 at our salerooms in Exeter, Devon.
Lot Description
A 19th Century Colonial hardwood and inlaid secretaire cabinet, the upper part with a reeded top, enclosed by a pair of brass lattice and mesh panel doors, the lower part inlaid with boxwood and ebony lines and with reeded mouldings, having a fall enclosing a fitted interior with small drawers and pigeon holes about a central enclosed compartment, containing three long drawers below, the sides applied with brass carrying handles, on short turned and reeded bun feet, 90cm (2ft 11 1/2in) wide.
