An 18th Century Flemish Carved Oak Display Cabinet (FS27/816) offered in our Two Day Fine Art Sale starting on 14th July 2015 at our salerooms in Exeter, Devon.
Lot Description
An 18th Century Flemish carved oak display cabinet, of large size, the domed upper part with a moulded dentil broken pediment and inscription to the tassel hung frieze, enclosed by a pair of glazed panel doors flanked by stiles with flowerheads and continuous scrolls and glazed panel canted sides, the lower part with a dentil edge, enclosed by three panel doors, decorated with entwined tassels, flowerheads and inlaid stellar ornament between similar stiles and canted angles on bun shaped feet, 225cm (7ft 4 1/2in) wide, 244cm (8ft) high.
