An 18th Century Flemish carved oak display cabinet, of large size, the domed upper part with a moulded dentil broken pediment and inscription to the tassel hung frieze, enclosed by a pair of glazed panel doors flanked by stiles with flowerheads and continuous scrolls and glazed panel canted sides, the lower part with a dentil edge, enclosed by three panel doors, decorated with entwined tassels, flowerheads and inlaid stellar ornament between similar stiles and canted angles on bun shaped feet, 225cm (7ft 4 1/2in) wide, 244cm (8ft) high.

Lot Description

An 18th Century Flemish carved oak display cabinet, of large size, the domed upper part with a moulded dentil broken pediment and inscription to the tassel hung frieze, enclosed by a pair of glazed panel doors flanked by stiles with flowerheads and continuous scrolls and glazed panel canted sides, the lower part with a dentil edge, enclosed by three panel doors, decorated with entwined tassels, flowerheads and inlaid stellar ornament between similar stiles and canted angles on bun shaped feet, 225cm (7ft 4 1/2in) wide, 244cm (8ft) high.
