W Page, London, a large 19th century walnut and ormolu mounted chiming bracket clock the eight-day duration, triple-fusee movement striking the hours on a gong and the quarters on a nest of ten bells, with a fully engraved backplate signed within a cartouche with the maker's name W Page, London, with an engraved pendulum bob, the silvered oval dial engraved with black Roman hour numerals, with floral decoration engraved to the outside and centre, with a repeat of the maker's name, with two levers set to the side for chime/silent and 10 Bells/4 bells, with further engraved decoration to the gilded bezel, with blued steel hands, the substantial walnut veneered case having a pagoda top over a curved plinth, finely engraved gilt-brass mounts, frieze and inset frets to the front, with gilt-brass frets to the sides and back, with four pineapple finials to the top corners and surmounted by a larger pineapple finial to the top, with decorative gilt-brass carrying handles to the sides, with the full fluted gilt pillars to the case having Corinthian capitals and standing on matching decorative gilt-brass feet, height 93cm.
