Lot Description

Edward Barnsley (1900-1987) - A blackbean wood dining table, of rectangular shape with curved ends on angled dual splayed end supports, united by a high curved stretcher, the top 280cm (9ft 2 1/4in) x 90cm (2ft 11 1/2in).

Notes

- Sold in Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood Sale 2nd July 2009 - The previous owner commissioned the table from Edward Barnsley in the early 1960s for one hundred and fifty six pounds and twelve shillings. The wood is Australian blackbean. At the makers request, it was subsequently displayed at the Design Centre in 1964.
