Lot Description

An early 19th century satinwood and inlaid Carlton House writing desk, crossbanded with boxwood and ebony lines, the curved superstructure fitted with eight small drawers and three enclosed cupboards, having a tooled leather inset writing surface, containing three frieze drawers below on square tapered legs terminating in spade feet, 1525cm (5ft) wide.
