A Louis XV brass mounted kingwood coffre fort on later walnut stand, the rectangular body applied with brass trefoil edge mouldings, pierced brass curvilinear strap hinges, escutcheon and carrying handles, the interior with removable trays, the fall front enclosing two drawers, the later stand with Greek key pattern frieze and fluted legs headed by acanthus scrolls and ending in lion paw feet, 54cm (1ft 9 1/4in) wide.

Lot Description

A Louis XV brass mounted kingwood coffre fort on later walnut stand, the rectangular body applied with brass trefoil edge mouldings, pierced brass curvilinear strap hinges, escutcheon and carrying handles, the interior with removable trays, the fall front enclosing two drawers, the later stand with Greek key pattern frieze and fluted legs headed by acanthus scrolls and ending in lion paw feet, 54cm (1ft 9 1/4in) wide.
