Philip Mitchell, RI [1814-1896] - Upland lake scene, crofter's cottages with sheep grazing in the foreground, river, lake and mountains beyond - signed bottom left watercolour heightened with white 34 x 53cm Biography: Landscape and coastal painter who served in the Royal Navy and later lived in Plymouth. Much of the artists's work is from the Cornish coast, but he also painted in Derbyshire, the Lakes and Scotland.
