Sale Notes
With the current lockdown situation we all seem to have a lot of time on our hands so it seems ironic that the next sale contains a number of clocks.
Amongst them are four carriage clocks including a French Corniche carriage clock (EX257/178). Also from France is an Art Deco marble clock garniture (EX257/191) and a Japy Freres mantel clock (EX257/192).
Another lockdown experience has been an engagement in the natural world, but if you are unable to get out then perhaps you can still feel close by bidding on a Moorcroft Finches pattern lamp and plate (EX257/76), which is estimated at £100-£150. Though if you prefer your flora and fauna more stationary then perhaps a watercolour still life (EX257/151) depicting fresh water fish and rhubarb may be for you or at the very least might conjure a recipe in you.
Staying in the kitchen, there is a quantity of 19th century stoneware jelly and aspic moulds, (EX257/227) that also contains several hot water bottles and a Queens Muff Warmer.
Finally, amongst the furniture is a delightfully rustic pine cricket table and stool (EX257/345), which would add charm to any country home.
