Sale Notes

Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood are holding their regular Antiques, Interiors & Jewellery Auction on Tuesday, 27th October 2020, which includes a number of affordable jewellery items.

With Christmas fast approaching, the following items could be a suitable gift for a loved one. A gentleman's 9ct gold 'Rolex Perpetual' automatic wristwatch is perfect for watch lovers. Rolex distribute high quality wristwatches and are at the forefront of the watch making industry. A timeless classic. Our estimate £1,000-£1,500* (EX255/52).

Art Deco jewellery is particularly sought after and this emerald and diamond cluster ring exudes a bold geometric design, typical of its type. Centring a row of graduated rectangular-cut emeralds within a border of round, brilliant-cut diamonds, a beautifully designed statement ring. Our estimate £400-£500* (EX255/154).

A suite of blue topaz and diamond jewellery will brighten any outfit. Comprising a pendant and a pair of matching clip/stud earrings each set with an oval, blue topaz within diamond borders. Our estimate £300-£350* (EX255/128).

Included in the auction is a wonderful silver plated tazza by Elkington & Co, ideal for putting those French Fancies on for a tea party. The petal shaped dish is supported by a putti on a scroll and foliate decorated base. Elkington & Co is a well-known manufacturer of silver and silver plated wares and produced important pieces of work throughout the 19th and early 20th century. The estimate is £120-150* (EX255/243).

Speaking of parties, for auction are a pair of Victorian silver fish servers, maker Daniel & John Wellby, London together with original fitted case. You will leave your guests in awe (EX255/258).

For those interested in collecting prints by a well-known local artist, there are five prints by Robert O Lenkiewicz in the auction, each print is estimated at £150-£250*.
