The forthcoming Antiquarian Book Auction on 6th March 2019 includes a vast array of books, manuscripts and ephemera including a fine selection of bindings, early works from a private philosophical library, a good military section and a selection of Devon and Cornwall maps. There are some unusual children’s books, such as Lothar Meggendorfer’s Princess Rose Petal and Her Adventures (BK21/266a), a moveable toy book that carries a pre-sale estimate of £500 - £1,000 as well as early bibles (such as (BK21/298 and 300), a watercolour of Exeter Theatre (BK21/647) that was burnt down and an album relating to the Meyer Goldwyn movie of Wuthering Heights (BK21/623) to name a few.
