Biography
Richard Hamm is the Cornish Representative of Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood and has 43 years experience as an antiques valuer based in the West Country.
Richard started his career as a trainee valuer at the age of 16 in 1972 with Button, Menhenitt & Mutton, one of the major Cornish salerooms, eventually establishing his own auction house Lambrays Galleries in the North Cornwall market town of Wadebridge, which also promoted art exhibitions over the following 24 years.
Richard joined Chris Hampton’s team in 2007 and he holds regular antiques valuation counters in museums and community centres throughout Cornwall. He was one of the co-founders of North Cornwall Arts, a charity to promote the Arts in rural areas and was personally responsible for creating the first Cornwall Film Festival.
He uses his love of cooking by helping with a local community café.
