As a sporting nation, there will no doubt be a great deal of interest in the Edwardian 9ct gold and enamel Scottish FA medal awarded to Alex Bennett in 1908 (£1,500-£2,000). Considering that many Premier League and Scottish Premier teams had only been established for a few decades and Alex Bennet was the first player to play for both rivals Celtic and then Rangers, bidding could be as tense as a penalty shootout.
