Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood are delighted to be sponsoring an installation
at the
Thelma Hulbert Gallery
in Honiton by the internationally renowned artist Luke Jerram to create
Harrison's Garden - an art installation featuring 1,000 clocks.
The Thelma Hulbert Gallery successfully defeated other United Kingdom venues to
win the chance to work with
Luke Jerram
for this year's Museums at Night festival, who has created a 'garden of
time'. Winding pathways will draw visitors through the shifting landscape. Each
area of the installation will sound different. The public will recognise some of
the clocks from their home and their past. The cacophony of clock sounds will heighten
the visitor's awareness of time passing.
The installation will be open from Tuesday, 27th October 2015 until Saturday, 31st
October 2015 from 10:00am until 8:00pm each day, except Saturday when the display
will close at 10:00pm.
We hold regular
valuation days
at the gallery. Our antique clock expert,
Leigh Extence
, will be undertaking clock valuations from 11:00am-1:00pm on Thursday, 29th October
2015 and will give
an informal
talk relating to clocks in art at the end of the valuation session.
As usual, the valuation event will be free.
