Nye Furniture Auction II Preview

The second sale of the Nye Furniture Collection will not fail to live up to the expectations created by the first sale. Again, this sale has a range of interesting furniture and other effects. The sale will be held on Friday, 25th October 2013 in Honiton as the last of three days of intensive selling across our salerooms, which will have started in Exeter with our Two Day Fine Sale.

The Nye Collection Auction II (SF19) will not fail to live up to the expectations created by the first sale of the Nye Furniture Collection, held earlier this year as the Nye Collection Auction I (SF18).

There is a good selection of furniture and other effects on offer in what is effectively the third day of the Autumn 2013 Quarterly Fine Sale.

A few of the highlights include an early 19th Century oak and mahogany housekeeper's cupboard (SF19/1234), measuring 225.5cm long and 226cm high, this large sized piece carries a pre-sale estimate of between £2,500 and £3,000.

       bids of around £2,500-£3,000.

Other highlights include a good 19th Century Indian carved rosewood console table (SF19/1293) with an estimate of £2,000–£3,000.

A Jerome Massier Jardiniere and Stand (SF19/1320) that is inviting bids of around £800-£1,200 in the sale, which will have online live bidding support.
