Stockman Staffordshire Pottery Collection
During August, Nic Saintey (Head of the Ceramics Department) will be blogging his
way through the many and varied items of Staffordshire Pottery in the Stockman
Collection, which has been consigned to Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood
for auction.
Follow his discoveries as he unpacks and catalogues each item in the lead up to
this exciting sale.
A small selection from the 400-500 items of Staffordshire Pottery in the Stockman
Collection being offered for auction at Honiton in September 2012.
Nic Saintey, along with some of our other specialists, blog about their work on
the
Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood blog site.
Nic will be writing almost daily about the Staffordshire Pottery pieces he is cataloguing
during August as he works his way through the four or five hundred pieces that constitute
the Stockman Collection in time for the sale in Honiton on Tuesday, 11th September
2012.
Staffordshire Pottery collectors from around the world are expected to bid live
over the Internet as the lots come up for auction in what promises to be a truly
exciting sale.
Nic Saintey confesses in his
opening blog
(on what will become a complete series of articles on Staffordshire Pottery):
"I have always had a bit of a liking for Staffordshire pottery and particularly
the portrait figures, so I am very happy to be starting work on a collection of
four or five hundred of them."
