SM UB-81 was a type UB III submarine of the Imperial German Navy during World War I.

UB-81 was built in 1917 and sank after hitting a mine on 2nd December 1917 off The Isle of Wight.

In 2002, the location was scheduled as a protected site under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986.
