Biography of painter George Lambourn (1900-1977)

George Lambourn (1900-1977) was born in London and studied at Goldsmith College and the RA Schools between 1921 and 1926.

Lambourn moved to Mousehole near Penzance in Cornwall in 1936, exhibiting at the Matthieson Gallery between 1936 and 1938.

He became involved in the Merlin Theatre and in the 1970s moved to St Just. There was a major exhibition of his work at the Newlyn Art Gallery in 1982.
