Biography of French artist Eugene Demester (b 1914)
Eugene Demester (b 1914) was born in Paris in 1914, the son of the painter Charles Demester. Demester studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. and went on to win numerous French art awards, including the Prix Rosset at the Salon d'Hiver.
Demester's style was much influenced by the Impressionists, with strong colours and impasto being a feature in most of his landscape works and coastal harbour scenes.
