Biography of the artist Andrew Lanyon (b 1947)
Andrew Lanyon (b 1947) was born in St Ives in 1947, the son of the artist Peter Lanyon (1918-1964).
Lanyon studied at the London School of Film Technique and worked in film for several years before starting to publish his own books in 1987.
Lanyon has exhibited at Beaux Arts, Newlyn Orion and Majorie Parr Galleries to name a few. His work is in public and private collections including the MOMA in New York.
