Sale Notes

The forthcoming Antiquarian Book Auction to be held on 6th September 2017 has a diverse range of books on offer. Included, is a large single owner collection of English Civil War Books (Lots 244-383).

Following the sad passing away last year of popular antiquarian book dealer Royston Parry, the sale also includes the reserve antiquarian stock of Exeter Rare Books. The eclectic collection, most of which has never been offered for sale, ranges from a rare German Peep Show of the first steam railway (BK18/53) to early Holy Bibles.

Other highlights include a rare folio titled An Embassy from the East India Company of the United Provinces, of the Grand Tartar Cham Emperour of China (BK18/494), with an estimate of £5,000-£6,000.
