Sale Notes

Though the days may be getting shorter, there is certainly no shortage of items in Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood's next Antiques and Collectables sale (including Silver and Jewellery).

Of the 800 plus lots, there are 200 lots of antique and later silver and over 100 lots of Victorian , Edwardian and contemporary jewellery to choose from.

One of the more interesting silver lots is a George V novelty ring stand, modelled in the form of a seated pig, produced in London in 1916 with the maker's mark rubbed (length 8cm, 2.5ozs) (HO75/98), which should certainly send a message to that special someone!

Included in the sale are a selection or Oriental and European ceramics and works of art, such as the Mouseman ashtray (HO75/498) or bronze fertility gods figures (HO75/513) as well a selection of prints watercolours and oils.

The furniture market continues to provide some surprises to both buyers and sellers alike with plenty to choose from the 150 lots available.
