Sale Notes

This Antiques and Collectables sale contains examples from all of the major design periods of the 19th and 20th century.

Easily recognisable as Art Nouveau, the pair of Mintons vases (HO66/42) have the distinctive flowing colours and style of the period, whilst the walnut and inlaid mantel clock (HO66/110) cannot be mistaken for anything other than Art Deco in design.

As well as these two examples, there are numerous  pieces of Edwardian and Victorian furniture that are also distinctive in their design.  The Inlaid mahogany display cabinet (HO66/ 458) has sycamore and harewood inlay that was popular in the beginning of the 20th century.  In typical Victorian ecclesiastical form, the pair of oak chairs (HO66/430) are stark and heavy, that marks the fashion of the late 19th century.

The sale also includes a range of ceramics, pictures and metalwork that have been influenced by these periods of design and will attract buyers far and wide.
