Sale FS18; Lot: 0756: ADAMS, Dudley (1762-1830) a pair of Regency 12 ins terrestrial and celestial table globes the terrestrial globe inscribed 'This new globe of the Earth correctly laid down according to ye best observations & latest discoveries, Dudley Adams, Fleet Street, London, 1807', the gores hand coloured in outline, marking the tracks of the second and third voyages of James Cook and Anson's voyage; the celestial globe inscribed 'This new celestial globe containing all ye Southern Constellations lately observed at the Cape of Good Hope and all the stars in Flamstead's British Catalogue, Dudley Adams, Fleet Street, London 1809. The gores decorated with constellation figures, named in Latin and English, mounted on mahogany tripod stands, the legs united by an undertier incorporating a compass, 2ft (61cm) high.

Debit and Credit Card Payments

If a purchaser is unknown to the auctioneers and is intending to pay by credit or debit card we will require the card holder to attend in person with suitable photographic identification, otherwise payment is required by BACS/CHAPS or electronic bank transfer. As a general rule any cheques tendered will need to be cleared before removal of the goods is permitted. Please discuss with our office in advance of the sale if other methods of payment are envisaged.

Surcharges

Payments by Visa and MasterCard will be subject to a surcharge of 2.00% of the total amount payable. There is no surcharge for debit card payments.

Clearance Times

Sterling cheques drawn on UK banks will generally clear on the fifth working day after receipt. Sterling bank drafts drawn on UK banks can generally be cleared immediately.

Bank transfers clear as soon as our bank receives funds (which does not happen instantaneously after payment instructions are given).

Credit and debit card payments can be cleared immediately, subject to confirmation with the card issuer.
