Published 25th April 2015

The Lord Mayor of Exeter Councillor Percy Prouse and the Lady Mayoress Elaine Prouse attended the Private View of our April 2015 Fine Art Auction in Exeter. The Lord Mayor and his wife were shown a number of works of art, including a Chinese Red Cinnabar Lacquer 'Dragon' Box and Cover (FS26/733), which went onto realise £44,000 after fierce bidding between telephone and Internet bidders on the second day of the sale.

These photographs, taken by our resident photographer Ian Jackson, capture the occassion. Our guests were able to peruse the fine art that was set out for the sale and were able to inspect items at close quarters while enjoying refreshments.

The highlight of the evening was a short talk by Andrew Thomas guiding those present through some of the really exciting pieces on offer in the two day sale.
