The Late Umpire David Shepherd MBE

The Late Umpire David Shepherd MBE, whose personal collection of Cricket memorabilia was auction in Honiton on 4th August 2010.

Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood held a successful auction of sporting, country pursuits and collectors items in Honiton on 4th August 2010.

The auction had a number of interesting lots, including the personal collection of the late David Shepherd MBE, the world famous International Test Cricket Umpire. Instantly recognisable and world renowned as one of the fairest minded umpires in first class cricket, the collection covered the latter years of his career.

19th Century Leather Fishing Creel

The 19th Century Leather Fishing Creel that fetched £3,300 in the auction at Honiton on 4th August 2010.

There were several surprise results amongst the 1,300 lots on offer, including the 19th century leather fishing creel that fetched £3,300 and the early 20th century Bing King Edward live steam engine £3,700.
