Biography of clockmaker William Frodsham (1755-1805)

William Frodsham (1755-1805) was a second generation clockmaker, born in 1755 to William Frodsham (1728-1807), who was the founder of the famous family firm of clockmakers William Frodsham & Son.

William Frodsham joined his father in business around 1755, when the business became known as William Frodsham & Son.

He predeceased his father by some 18 months, dying in 1805.

The family business was continued by his son John Frodsham (1781-1849) under the name Frodsham & Sons.
