Biography of artist James Thomas Watts (1853-1930)

James Thomas Watts (1853-1930) was born in Birmingham and, like Burne-Jones a generation earlier, attended King Edward's School.

In 1874, Watts settled in Liverpool where he became a much respected member of the local artistic community. Watts exhibited widely and was a regular contributor to The Royal Academy.
