Biography of colourist Frederick Cuming (b 1930)

Frederick George Rees Cuming (b 1930) was born in London in 1930 and studied at Sidcup School of Art and The Royal College of Art. He has had one man shows at The New Metropole Gallery, Folkestone, The Little Studio New York and from the early 80s The New Grafton Gallery.

Fred Cuming is a subtle Colourist who specialises in landscapes in Britain and on the continent. Cuming was elected a full Royal Academician in 1974 and is a member of the New England Art Club.

Cuming has painted frequently in Italy, especially Venice, and he contributed to the Venice in Peril Appeal with his art works.

Cuming also has a love for the Southern English coastline and lives in Rye, Kent.
